Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is deploying additional law enforcement and National Guard troops to southern Florida in anticipation of the hordes of Haitian illegals expected to descend upon the Sunshine State as law and order in Haiti continues to disintegrate.

DeSantis announced Wednesday that over 200 additional state law enforcement officers and up to 133 State Guard troops will be sent to South Florida and the Keys. Over a dozen aircraft and ships will support the operation.

“Given the circumstances in Haiti, I have directed the Division of Emergency Management, the Florida State Guard, and state law enforcement agencies to deploy over 250 additional officers and soldiers and over a dozen air and sea craft to the southern coast of Florida to protect our state,” DeSantis said in a statement.

Reports suggest that the widely-anticipated Haitian migrant invasion Haiti is actually already underway. Last week,  authorities apprehended 24 Haitians off the Florida coast.

On March 2, the “Only in Palm Beach” social media account wrote: “It appears a group of immigrants have just appeared on #JupiterIsland. #BorderPatrol has now set up a perimeter from #BlowingRocks all the way down to #CatosBridge.”

“Illegal immigrants feel empowered to enter the sovereign territory of the United States because of the federal government’s refusal to diligently enforce our immigration laws and protect the integrity of the border,” read DeSantis’s press release.
