Suspects are being held in lieu of $250K bond for a variety of charges including first-degree kidnapping, unlawful restraint, robbery, assault, threatening, and risk of injury to a child.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Westchester man was hospitalized after police said he was kidnapped in New Rochelle and taken by a group of suspects from Port Chester, who were arrested in connection with the incident, on Monday night.
The victim told police he was threatened and taken to the mall by the others “because they believed he knew people that has stolen coke from them,” according to the police report.
Police were called around 10:35 p.m. on Monday to a noise complaint in the parking lot of the Clinton Outlets [78 miles east of New Rochelle].
The caller reported a loud group of people in the parking lot creating a disturbance after the outlets had closed for the evening, according to police.
Cops found seven adult men and three juveniles in the parking lot. One of the men, who was later identified as the victim, told police he had been kidnapped in New Rochelle after being threatened with a gun and brought to Clinton by the other nine people at the scene.
“A police K-9 was requested to respond to assist with the search for evidence on scene,” police said.
“The police K-9 helped locate a black facsimile firearm which very closely resembled a real firearm in the woods next to where the individuals were standing. Also located on scene was a baseball bat, police-issued pepper spray, and ski masks.”
Police said six adults from Port Chester were arrested and charged with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree kidnapping with a firearm, illegal use of a facsimile firearm, first-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree robbery, third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, conspiracy to commit first-degree kidnapping with a firearm, conspiracy to commit illegal use of a facsimile firearm, conspiracy to commit first-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, and risk of injury to a child. They were held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
The three juveniles were arrested and charged with first-degree kidnapping with a firearm, illegal use of a facsimile firearm, first-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree robbery, third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, conspiracy to commit first-degree kidnapping with a firearm, conspiracy to commit illegal use of a facsimile firearm, conspiracy to commit first-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit third-degree assault, and second-degree threatening. They were all remanded to the custody of the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center, according to police.
Police said Gerson Isaias Jimenez Mendoza of Port Chester, age 19; Dario Miguel Iantigua Taveras of Port Chester, age 20; Javier Ventura-Vasquez of Port Chester, age 20; Justim Vargas of Port Chester, age 19; Keneth Ramirez Munoz of Stamford, age 22; and Edgar Palencia Marroquin of Stamford, age 27; were taken into custody
A 16-year-old, 15-year-old and 17-year-old were also arrested. Their identities are not being released by authorities.
“The kidnapping appears to have been a targeted and isolated incident with the victim being known to the offenders,” Sgt. Spencer Mangs told Patch.
“There is no ongoing threat to the public.” ##
