UNIFY TO SOLIDIFY: Stefanik calls on GOP candidates to drop out now to maximize and consolidate support behind Trump. We agree, but…

Upstate New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has suggested that GOP primary candidates who finished behind Donald J. Trump in the Iowa caucuses last night should drop out now and throw their support behind the former president.

“Congratulations to President Donald Trump on his massive victory at the Iowa Caucuses!” exclaimed Stefanik, chair of the House Republican Conference, on her TwitterX account.

“Thank you to the people of Iowa,” she said, “for your incredible support in delivering this historic win.

“As I have said for over a year, President Trump will be our Republican nominee and will defeat Joe Biden in November,” she wrote.

Karoline Leavitt, national press secretary for Trump’s 2024 campaign, agreed with Stefanik on the wisdom of the drop-out move in a Newsmax-TV appearance.

“We’ve been saying for months that Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley especially are wasting their time,” Leavitt said.
“They are wasting money. They’re wasting donors’ precious resources on a campaign that’s hardly making it out of Iowa and isn’t going to go anywhere after this.
To all of which, and for the record,

Wake Up Westchester! couldn’t agree more – in principle – with Stefanik and Leavitt…
…but to prove her point beyond a reasonable RINO doubt, we’d like to see…
…DJT put a couple more blow-outs up on the scoreboard…
…like the New Hampshire primary next week (Jan. 23), and
…the South Carolina primary four weeks later (Feb. 24)
…WELL BEFORE Super-Tuesday (March 5) when hundreds of thousands of Republican voters in 14 states will be going to the polls.

Now back to last night.

“They must do what is best for our party and that is unite around President Trump. At the end of the day, our real opponent here is Joe Biden,” Leavitt said on Newsmax.

“We have a country to save. The amount of damage that Biden has done in the past three years is really unfathomable.

“Can we imagine if he was elected for another four?

“All of the time we can have as Republicans to unite our party and to use donor resources to take that fight to the far-left Democrats – “and Joe Biden’s campaign just announced a massive campaign haul: in one quarter they raised $100 million.”##
